Stylish Coconut Bowl

Our Jumbo bowls are perfect for poke bowls and rice dishes due to their larger capacity. They are also suitable for larger portions of cottage cheese, smoothies and a somewhat larger breakfast.

The bowls are available in 4 different variants:

• Original - The bowl is polished both on the inside and outside
• Natural - The shell is rough on the outside for a natural look
• Arrow - The outside of the bowl is hand engraved in the shape of an arrow
• Striped - The outside of the bowl is hand-engraved with stripes

Unique Cutlery
The sustainable cutlery is handmade from sustainable coconut wood and processed with coconut oil. They are produced locally from coconut wood which is normally burned as waste. Each product has its own unique wood pattern and therefore no spoon or fork is the same!

Care 

The coconut bowls and wooden cutlery are natural products. You can extend its lifespan with proper care. Our user tips can be found below:

• Wash the bowls and cutlery by hand with warm, soapy water (no dishwasher). Dry the bowls and cutlery and store them at room temperature.
• Never place the bowls and cutlery in the freezer, oven or microwave! Natural products and heat/large temperature differences do not work well together. For this reason, do not serve soup in the bowls.
• Never let the bowls and cutlery soak for a long time! Wash and dry them after use.
• Take good care of the bowls and cutlery by occasionally rubbing them with coconut oil or linseed oil. This way the bowls keep their beautiful color.

Story behind the product

• All our products are handcrafted by local Vietnamese artisans.
• The coconut shells come from Ben Tre, an area in the south of Vietnam. This area is known for the high quality of its coconuts. 
• Vietnamese artisans are able to give coconut shells, which would normally be burned as waste, a wonderful second life. The bowls are polished and crafted by hand into a beautiful end product.
  
• By using coconut shells, local farmers have an extra income because they can sell the coconut shells instead of having to burn them as waste.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do the products come from?
All our products come from Vietnam. The coconut shells come from Ben Tre, an area in the south of Vietnam. This area is known for the high quality of its coconuts. 

Can all products be put in the dishwasher, oven or microwave?
All our products are natural products and therefore cannot withstand temperature differences. The products are NOT suitable for both DISHWASHER, OVEN as MAGNETRON. Wash the products by hand to prevent tearing/cracking and do not soak them in water for too long.

Can I use hot food/drink in the coconut bowls/bamboo cups?
The products are excellent for cold and (lukewarm) warm dishes, but less suitable for hot, liquid dishes. For example, if you serve soup in the coconut bowl or tea in the bamboo cups, the products may burst.

How long do the products last?
All products are natural products, but with the right care they can last a lifetime!

Yes, the products have been tested and approved as food safe. No chemicals are used during the making process.
